Nozzle, Stainless Steel 316
Description
Individual sampling nozzle. May be of the button-hook or elbow design. Fulfills requirements on shape of inlet hole and angle of tapered edge.
Specifications/Material/Measurements:
316 stainless steel
Comes in different sizes. Please select desired one. Sizes are fractions of an inch (e.g. 2 = 8/32")
Purpose and how to use? Relationship to other products?
The sampled flue gas enters the sampling train via the nozzle. Ideally, the velocity of the sampled gas should be the same as the velocity of the flue gas inside the stack (Isokinetic sampling ratio = 100%). A good diagram of this would be Figure D.1, Annex D, ISO 9096:2003(E).
The sharp tapered edge is to minimize the likelihood of solid particles getting sampled "accidentally".
Relevant texts/methods/requirements:
Section 6.1.1.1 (Probe Nozzle), USEPA Method 5
Section 6.2.2 (Set of entry nozzles) and Annex A, ISO 9096: 2003(E)

None. Please refer to the FAQs page for shipping and other charges.
